This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take ownership of the complete target architecture, which includes CDC replication, lakehouse landing (Fabric/OneLake), and a structured cloud data warehouse on Snowflake.
• Create and keep up-to-date architecture decision records that encompass transformation mechanisms, CDC/load strategies, semantic-model storage modes, warehouse isolation, and cross-platform interoperability.
• Design the curated data layer along with the dimensional model.
• Recalculate runtime-calculated values from source systems and standardize key-value dimension structures into recognized reporting attributes.
• Develop a strategy for a unified certified BI semantic model that includes governed and versioned metric definitions.
• Engage directly with the codebase while collaborating with the development team throughout the design and build phases.
• Lead technical exploration sessions with client architecture, security, and platform teams.
• Address questions related to interoperability and network/identity design.
• Manage architecture quality gates, including design validation, baseline lock, and cutover readiness.
• Generate documentation for client stakeholder approval.
• Guide the development team on transformation patterns, incremental materialization, and reconciliation/data-quality design.
• Extensive experience in data architecture, particularly in the hands-on delivery of enterprise data platform modernization initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting cloud data platforms on Snowflake, incorporating layered raw/staging/curated models and incremental transformation patterns.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake or similar lakehouse platforms, including cross-platform interoperability between a lakehouse and a cloud data warehouse.
• Experience in architecting change-data-capture (CDC) based replication pipelines from relational sources to cloud platforms.
• Experience in designing governed, certified BI semantic layers (Power BI or equivalent) that are utilized by various reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles: classification, masking, row-level access, and lineage.
• Proficient in English (C1 level).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systems as a source for financial/GL reporting (preferred).
• Background in mortgage, lending, or broader financial services data platforms (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development toolchains within a governed software development lifecycle (preferred).
