Principal Data Analyst – Revenue Cycle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Acts as a senior analytical contributor tasked with designing, implementing, and overseeing intricate data analysis projects aimed at enhancing revenue cycle performance and achieving organizational financial goals.

• Manages multiple simultaneous requests from various stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of analytical results.

• Develops, executes, and oversees sophisticated data analysis projects that bolster revenue cycle performance, financial results, and organizational objectives.

• Integrates, prepares, and validates extensive data sets from numerous internal and external sources to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis.

• Constructs advanced SQL queries, data models, and analytical processes to uncover trends, identify metric drivers, operational bottlenecks, and financial opportunities throughout the revenue cycle.

• Produces dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions utilizing Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to improve insight into revenue cycle performance.

• Performs comprehensive analysis of critical revenue cycle areas including patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, denials, and accounts receivable to facilitate operational and financial decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles involving large and complex data sets.

• Proven expertise in SQL, including advanced query development, data modeling, and performance optimization within large relational databases.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel).

• Experience with Epic systems, including Epic Clarity, and the capability to extract, interpret, and analyze data from Epic revenue cycle modules.
