This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate internal computing environments to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Conduct security control assessments utilizing methodologies and guidelines from established standards.
• Create documentation, guides, and artifacts to facilitate readiness for third-party evaluations.
• Assist in the development of documentation and artifacts for NIST SP 800-171 compliance preparation.
• Work collaboratively with the CISO mock assessment team to identify deficiencies, gaps, and trends.
• Engage in implementation activities and related tasks.
• Travel domestically up to 25%.
• For Principal level: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 7 years with an Associate's Degree, or 9 years with a High School Diploma or GED.
• For Senior Principal level: 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years with an Associate's Degree, or 12 years with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Capability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment.
• Experience with NIST 800-171 or NIST 800-53 security frameworks.
• Proficient in conducting security control assessments using recognized industry-standard methodologies and guides.
• Background in cybersecurity engineering and architecture.
• Understanding of risk management principles and risk-based methodologies.
• Experience in interpreting and applying security compliance standards and GRC policies and procedures.
• Awareness of current and emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
• U.S. citizenship is required for positions needing government clearance and other restricted roles.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Security+, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, and Azure Solutions Architect.
• DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II or III certification is preferred.
• Experience with system, network, and application security is preferred.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments for both internally and externally hosted solutions is preferred.
• Experience in evaluating, designing, configuring, and implementing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS cloud service models is preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems is preferred.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking, architecture, servers, systems design, and Identity and Access Management is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new and evolving business and technical concepts, requirements, skills, and tools.
