This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more states.
• Oversee the complete data governance workstreams, encompassing data cataloging, quality management, metadata administration, lineage, and access control frameworks.
• Convert client business requirements into governance strategies and roadmaps with limited supervision.
• Develop, share, and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
• Integrate emerging technologies and methodologies into data governance tasks and capabilities.
• Formulate and execute data governance and/or AI governance strategies that enhance discoverability, quality, accessibility, usability, AI use-case evaluation, and AI readiness.
• Spearhead the migration of intricate data architectures from on-premises systems to cloud environments.
• Establish and uphold data governance practices that bolster data security and compliance.
• Implement containerization to improve scalability and deployment effectiveness.
• Guide junior engineers, review code, and provide direction to small implementation teams.
• Develop technical blueprints and suggest tools, frameworks, and design patterns tailored to client requirements.
• Manage small engagements and workstreams, contribute to pre-sales efforts, and act as a reliable client liaison.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data governance, with at least 2 years in a client-facing capacity.
• Proficient in advanced data governance competencies as outlined by DAMA-DMBOK.
• In-depth knowledge of Databricks and Spark (required).
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, MacOS, Slack, and Atlassian.
• Certification in governance toolsets such as Unity Catalog, Atlan, or Anomalo is preferred.
