Principal Capture Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the formulation and implementation of Shield AI’s long-term business development and capture strategy targeting the United States Marine Corps.

• Propel Shield AI’s engagement and alignment with enterprise-level defense priorities, modernization efforts, and transformation activities within the Marine Corps.

• Design and carry out a thorough USMC capture strategy that incorporates all SAI products.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic opportunities that are in line with USMC enterprise priorities.

• Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior officials across the USMC.

• Act as Shield AI’s main point of contact for enterprise-level engagements with the USMC.

• Shape and influence Marine Corps concepts, roadmaps, and acquisition strategies that will define the future adoption of autonomy, AI, and unmanned systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in business development, strategy, or capture within the Department of War ecosystem, specifically focusing on USMC enterprise-level engagements.

• In-depth understanding of USMC organizational structures, acquisition systems, and decision-making processes at both the Secretariat and Joint levels.

• Proven track record of leading significant captures (valued at $50M+) or shaping large-scale defense initiatives throughout the complete business development lifecycle.

• Established ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders within the USMC.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated capability to collaborate across technical, operational, and policy teams.

• Active Secret clearance (Top Secret clearance preferred).
