Principal, Art Direction – GenAI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create visually advanced AI-driven creative for performance campaigns and innovation initiatives, while upholding a high standard for craftsmanship and originality.

• Convert creative briefs into engaging visual outputs across various styles, such as photorealism, conceptual design, graphic art, product imagery, lifestyle visuals, and experimental formats.

• Quickly prototype, iterate, and enhance assets based on creative feedback, platform requirements, and campaign goals.

• Utilize ChatGPT image generation tools to develop scalable visual content systems, campaign materials, conceptual explorations, and production-ready creative assets.

• Art direct and refine outputs with a thorough understanding of composition, typography, lighting, styling, realism, motion, pacing, and visual storytelling.

• Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Motion teams, and Producers to ensure all outputs adhere to brand standards and campaign vision.

• Enhance and elevate outputs through compositing, retouching, editing, upscaling, and post-production processes as needed.

• Continuously assess new OpenAI tools, workflows, and creative trends to advance the agency’s AI capabilities and creative standards.

• Foster a culture of experimentation, curiosity, and visual excellence throughout the wider creative organization.

• Identify opportunities for scalable AI-assisted production workflows without compromising creative quality or craftsmanship.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in design, digital art, content creation, visual storytelling, or integrated campaign production within an agency, studio, or rapidly growing brand environment.

• A portfolio showcasing exceptional visual taste, strong conceptual instincts, and high-level execution across digital, social, brand, motion, or campaign projects.

• Extensive experience utilizing ChatGPT image generation in a professional creative environment.

• In-depth understanding of contemporary visual culture, photography, design systems, motion aesthetics, internet culture, and emerging creative trends.

• Advanced skills in Figma and AI-assisted creative workflows.

• Ability to rapidly iterate while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and consistency across a large volume of outputs.

• Comfort in fast-paced environments with changing priorities, quick feedback loops, and tight deadlines.

• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating creative rationale and visual decisions to internal teams and creative leadership effectively.

• Curiosity about emerging technologies and enthusiasm for contributing to the evolution of AI-enabled creativity.
