This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as the Platform Architect responsible for guiding the overall technical strategy of the platform.

• Lead and provide high-level architecture for intricate and cross-functional POCs, pilots, and projects.

• Transform the release and governance processes to minimize technical debt and the manual effort required for production releases.

• Mentor a team of developers, guiding them in best practices for development and architecture.

• Offer guidance to ITSM, ITOM, SECOPS, HRSD, SPM, EA, GRC, and custom applications, among others, to product owners, developers, and implementation partners.

• Provide technical direction to the operations team regarding priorities to maintain the platform's health.

• Conduct the weekly governance board to offer development teams guidance and technical direction aimed at reducing or preventing unnecessary technical debt.

• Create development best practices documentation based on ServiceNow's published guidelines.

• Conduct regular instance reviews to inform the technical direction aimed at decreasing technical debt on the platform.

• Own the CI/CD and best practices tools utilized within ServiceNow to enhance processes and boost efficiency (e.g., xType).

• Establish additional standard architectural principles, patterns, and processes (e.g., AI patterns).

• Optimize strategies, capabilities, roadmaps, and application portfolios in close collaboration with stakeholders.

• Analyze existing architectures to pinpoint weaknesses and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Provide strategic consultation to IT Leaders and other ITI architects.

• Contribute to the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with architectural strategy and business objectives.

• Collaborate with Application Architects on Delivery teams to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture patterns and practices.

• May oversee architects and their daily tasks, including setting objectives, assessing performance, and fostering career development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Generally has fifteen (15) or more years of IT and business/industry experience, encompassing architecture design and deployment, as well as systems lifecycle management.

• Three (3) years of experience leading multiple large, cross-functional projects and influencing senior management and key stakeholders.

• Requires familiarity with various diverse technologies and processing environments.
