Principal Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the multi-year technical strategy for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Key Management Services (KMS).

• Design identity and key management services that are high-availability and low-latency using Go.

• Architect secure token exchange mechanisms and inject identity context for AI workflows.

• Create and implement a resilient, multi-tenant Key Management Service.

• Propel the development of the Policy Engine to accommodate advanced resource-level permissions.

• Collaborate with Inference, Billing, DOKS, and Platform Security to address architectural deficiencies.

• Set and maintain standards for cryptographic and identity engineering.

• Mentor and nurture both senior and mid-level engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 4 years of specialization in Identity (AuthN/AuthZ), Key Management, or high-scale distributed systems within a cloud or IaaS setting.

• Expert-level skills in Go programming.

• Extensive experience with gRPC microservices architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of identity protocols such as OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, and SCIM.

• Practical experience in designing or managing key management infrastructure.

• Proven capability to develop systems that efficiently manage consensus, replication, and partitioning at scale.

• Significant experience with Kubernetes, SQL (MySQL), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Established history of leading complex, multi-team platform projects with ambiguity.

• Ability to write clear RFCs and effectively present architectural strategies to senior leadership.
