This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a partner and advisor to internal teams and clients to address complex business challenges using Dotmatics SaaS solutions.
• Collaborate closely with customers to grasp their requirements, analyze their data environments, and design as well as implement effective solutions.
• Ensure that the solutions are functionally accurate, scientifically robust, and tailored to meet the customer's laboratory workflows and data specifications.
• Lead the technical and scientific execution of strategic projects in collaboration with clients.
• Articulate the advantages of Dotmatics software and convey the technical and scientific value to potential customers.
• Oversee and govern projects that involve parallel activities.
• Assess user requirements, provide estimates, design solutions, and train customers on utilizing Dotmatics-configured solutions.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams in a global setting.
• Over 10 years of experience in implementing SaaS solutions within the Life Sciences industry or end-user environments.
• A PhD or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related scientific/technical field is preferred.
• Extensive experience in consulting with customers, particularly within the Scientific/Life Science sector, with a proven track record of SaaS solution deployments.
• Experience serving as the technical lead in partner-led delivery projects, collaborating with stakeholders, project managers, and solutions architects to ensure quality and progress across complex implementations, while providing structured feedback throughout.
• Expertise in data integration: Planning, coordinating, and directing teams in the integration of data from diverse sources.
• Capability to clearly document complex key business requirements.
• Experience acting as a consultant to customers, with a proven background in SaaS solution implementations in intricate scientific settings, such as large pharmaceutical companies or extensive laboratory environments.
• Advanced proficiency in building and deploying APIs, frameworks, and event-driven integration patterns, along with experience in data ingestion and transformation tools like Apache NiFi.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle (SQL), SQL databases, and cloud-native technologies, including AWS.
• Strong ability to utilize data-first architectures using Databricks (including Databricks SQL Warehouse), Snowflake, Sigma, and data warehouse/lake technologies.
• Familiarity with lab informatics software including ELN, LIMS, SDMS, and instrument data systems, as well as file transformations (CSV, XML, XLS, XLSX, XSL) and a solid understanding of configuration management.
• Ability to identify and communicate performance, scalability, and data quality risks within implemented solutions.
• Strong focus on data-first architecture and data science technologies (Databricks, Snowflake) and data warehouse/lake solutions.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages for working with scientific data, including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, or other equivalent languages.
• Skills in delivering high-quality presentations and training, including the capability to present systems diagramming, UML (Unified Modeling Language), and ERD (Entity Relationship Diagrams).
• Ability to adjust communication styles to suit the audience and translate scientific and technical language into easily understandable terms.
