This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Approve analytical methods for executive, state agency, MCO, auditor, and RFP deliverables.
• Develop and publish PPL analytics standards that encompass data modeling, semantic layers, metric definitions, statistical methods, documentation, and reproducibility.
• Co-develop the enterprise analytics strategy in collaboration with the VP of Analytics.
• Manage the technical roadmap for the semantic and governance layer.
• Halt unsupported deliverables, figures, or assertions.
• Act as the key technical authority on leveling and hiring for the Analytics Engagement Consultant team.
• Lead significant engagements that require executive sponsorship, have regulatory implications, or affect material P&L.
• Promote the adoption of analytics standards across Operations, Finance, Program, and Client Services.
• Collaborate with PPL Data Architects on semantic layers, canonical data models, and metric definitions.
• Present PPL analytics findings to leadership within state agencies and MCOs.
• Defend methodologies against regulatory and audit scrutiny.
• Oversee analytical sections of major RFP submissions.
• Review and approve the work produced by analytics team members.
• Mentor analytics professionals to cultivate Principal-level judgment.
• Oversee the advancement of methodology, tooling standards, and operating models alongside the VP.
• Foster a culture of analytical expertise and intellectual integrity.
• Construct the most complex models and maintain production dbt, SQL, and Python reference implementations.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or management consulting.
• At least 5 years at the Staff, Principal, or equivalent level.
• Established authority in defining analytical methodologies and organizational standards.
• Experience serving as the final reviewer for high-impact analyses.
• Analytical work that can endure executive, regulatory, and audit-level scrutiny.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with contact-center platforms and data, including contact-level modeling, workforce management, routing, multi-channel structures, and Erlang calculations.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Genesys, Five9, NICE, Amazon Connect, or similar.
• Enterprise-scale ownership of production dbt environments and data models.
• Advanced/senior-level proficiency in SQL.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and orchestration tools.
• Python experience is advantageous.
• Ability to convert complex analyses into evidence-based narratives that influence executive decisions.
• Confidence in challenging assumptions and presenting unexpected or contrary findings.
• Experience in developing analytics professionals through mentorship, code reviews, technical guidance, and cross-functional leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is required.
• A Master's degree in computer science or information technology is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with claims, eligibility, payroll, finance, or program integrity is preferred.
• Experience presenting to state agencies, MCOs, regulators, or auditors is preferred.
• Background in writing analytical content for successful RFPs is preferred.
• Consulting partner-track experience or principal-level analytics work at a mature technology company is preferred.
• Experience in establishing or significantly evolving an enterprise-scale semantic or governance layer is preferred.
