Principal AI Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design the AI Technical Strategy: Collaborate with enterprise account teams to take ownership of and implement the technical sales strategy, advancing complex, high-value AI security opportunities from initial discovery through to closure.

• Provide Engaging, High-Impact Demonstrations & POVs: Customize and showcase targeted, outcome-focused demonstrations of Zscaler’s AI security platform that appeal to both technical practitioners and executive leadership. When necessary, guide customers through effective demos and proofs of value to affirm Zscaler’s capability to securely facilitate enterprise AI.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Function as the field authority on contemporary AI methodologies (including RAG, agents, and prompt workflows), offering guidance to clients on how to mitigate sensitive data exposure and unauthorized AI usage.

• Enhance the Field Motion: Partner with Product and Engineering to incorporate real-world customer insights into the product roadmap, while creating reusable demo resources and enablement playbooks to elevate our global sales force.

• Empower Those Around You: Create reusable demos, technical resources, competitive positioning, and enablement materials to support the scaling of Zscaler’s AI field motion while imparting best practices and training to enterprise account teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound Expertise in AI/GenAI: Comprehensive foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), MCP (Model Context Protocol) orchestration patterns, and the associated security risks.

• Over 10 Years of Solutions Engineering Expertise: A demonstrated history in a customer-facing technical role (Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Advisory) traversing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles.

• Strong Understanding of Enterprise Security: Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including Zero Trust architecture, data loss prevention (DLP), cloud-native security solutions, and API integrations.

• Exceptional Executive Communication: Outstanding presentation and storytelling abilities, with a proven capability to effectively translate intricate AI architectures into clear business value and security outcomes.

• Collaborate and Elevate Together: Successfully engage cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other go-to-market teams in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
