This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and implement thorough analyses to inform strategic pricing decisions.
• Spearhead competitive intelligence initiatives and conduct market positioning analysis.
• Create and uphold advanced pricing models that encompass elasticity, optimization, and profitability.
• Execute sophisticated statistical analyses of pricing performance and market trends.
• Design and evaluate price testing strategies, including A/B tests and market experiments.
• Collaborate with Sales Executives to formulate competitive pricing strategies for new business opportunities and RFP submissions.
• Work in partnership with Account Managers on customer renewal contract negotiations, providing pricing analysis and competitive market benchmarking.
• Collaborate closely with legal teams to review and refine contract pricing terms, ensuring compliance and risk management.
• Conduct periodic analyses and validations of pricing models to ensure alignment with changing product offerings and industry standards.
• Partner extensively with product leaders and managers to comprehend product roadmaps, cost structures, and competitive positioning.
• Perform analyses of customer lifetime value and provide pricing recommendations based on segmentation.
• Lead assessments of pricing impacts for product launches, promotions, and market changes.
• Monitor and assess pricing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement.
• Develop pricing dashboards and automated reporting systems for stakeholders.
• Manage cross-functional pricing projects and coordinate efforts with multiple business units.
• Assist in budget and forecast development incorporating pricing assumptions and scenario analysis.
• Mentor junior analysts and offer guidance on pricing methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• 3-5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, market research, or revenue management within the workers' compensation sector.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with systems, platforms, and databases pertinent to the insurance industry and workers' compensation claims management.
• Demonstrated experience with pricing strategies in workers' compensation services.
• Strong statistical and quantitative analysis skills along with experience in pricing model development.
• Advanced Excel skills: Proficient in modeling, VBA, macros, and complex financial/pricing functions.
• Proficiency in Power BI: Capable of creating dashboards, developing visualizations, and performing advanced analytics.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ: Skilled in pricing configuration, quote generation, and approval workflows.
• Understanding of SQL data lookups and foundational database queries.
• Strong business acumen and insight into market dynamics.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex analyses to senior management.
