Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake session followed by regular follow-up visits.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication management.

• Develop patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and a commitment to providing safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (such as measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful monitoring, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR a graduate of an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with a preference for those holding a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or completion of another academic psychiatry certificate program, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Hold an unrestricted state license in Texas.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of practice experience.

• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs possessing an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have office space available to see clients.

• Ability to provide care to patients with a diverse range of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who can offer in-person options.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
