Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake appointment followed by regular follow-up sessions.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication management.

• Develop patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment suggestions, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as oversee psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to providing safe, evidence-based medication treatment in accordance with clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful attention, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR a graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with preference for a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, completion of a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate programs, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possess an unrestricted state license in Kentucky.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs holding an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have available office space to meet with clients.

• Capability to provide care to patients with a full spectrum of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
