Prescribing Nurse Practitioner – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive management of mental health medications through a 60-minute initial intake appointment followed by regular follow-up sessions.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, meticulous attention to medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program (CCNE); OR graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with a preference for a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or completion of another academic psychiatry certificate program, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Hold an unrestricted state license in Tennessee.

• Have at least 2 years of clinical practice experience.

• Strong preference for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with an active DEA license.

• Preference for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with additional certification or clinical experience in treating minors.

• Must have an office space equipped to see clients.

• Ability to provide care to patients across a full spectrum of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who offer in-person consultations.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
