Prescribing Nurse Practitioner – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in thorough mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake session followed by consistent follow-up consultations.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-focused treatment plans, document treatment suggestions, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as oversee psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, meticulous attention to minimizing risks while maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR a graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with a preference for a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, completion of a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate programs, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Unrestricted state license in Georgia.

• At least 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs holding an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience in treating minors.

• Must possess office space capable of accommodating client consultations.

• Ability to provide care to patients across a broad spectrum of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who can offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
