Prescribing Nurse Practitioner – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake session followed by regular follow-up visits.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication management.

• Develop patient-focused treatment plans, document treatment suggestions, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as oversee psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to providing safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (such as measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful monitoring, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR a graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with preference given to those holding a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate programs, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Hold an unrestricted state license in Alabama.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) possessing an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have office space available to see clients.

• Ability to provide care to patients presenting a full spectrum of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who offer in-person consultations.

• Full-time residency in the United States is required.
