This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Pre-Construction Manager is tasked with overseeing significant projects while possessing the skills and personality to cultivate new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of project details that outlines the project “trail.”
• Plan and organize projects, also referred to as a “Pursuit Leader.”
• Understand the company's philosophy and operational systems.
• Be aware of objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the framework of corporate policies.
• Act as a liaison with the primary client and A/E to facilitate construction activities.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Oversee the preparation of all pricing quotations for presentation to the primary customer.
• Manage the financial aspects of contracts to safeguard the company’s interests while maintaining a positive relationship with the client.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by corporate executives.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry; experience with electrical contracting is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required for interactions with owners, architects, and design consultants.
• A thorough understanding of various types of design projects and concepts, including design build, design assist, IPD, Lean, and LEED.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations that can significantly impact the profitability of the assigned area.
• Familiarity with the construction markets in the Northwest and Portland Metro areas would be advantageous.
• Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); experience with Oracle is preferred.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as necessary.
• Ability to work under time constraints and adjust to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary for the role.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, including management and staff, as well as vendors and clients.
