Pre-Licensed Therapist, Counselor – Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Counseling, Resident in Marriage & Family Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide individual telehealth therapy services to clients within the LGBTQ+ community

• Offer affirming, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment customized to meet the needs of the community

• Perform clinical assessments

• Ensure timely and HIPAA-compliant documentation within the Avon EMR system

• Utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and CPT

• Implement the Trauma Journal and Written Exposure Therapy protocol between sessions

• Engage in regular clinical supervision to achieve full independent licensure

• Maintain a minimum of 10 client-facing sessions each week

• Report directly to the Clinical Director

• Allswell manages billing, scheduling, and client outreach

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Virginia license as a Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Counseling, or Resident in Marriage & Family Therapy

• Demonstrated experience and a strong commitment to working with LGBTQ+ clients

• Cultural competency in delivering affirming, identity-centered care

• Comfortable providing individual / one-on-one therapy in a telehealth format

• Proficient in clinical assessment and maintaining timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation

• Minimum commitment of 10 client sessions per week

• Flexible availability from Monday to Sunday

• Passionate about enhancing access to affirming, high-quality mental health care for the LGBTQ+ community

• Experience assisting LGBTQ+ clients, including those who are BIPOC and neurodivergent

• Familiarity with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or CPT

• Comfortable with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care

• Additional licensure in Maryland, DC, or North Carolina is considered a plus
