This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, construct, and launch both canvas and model-driven Power Apps utilizing VA/VHA data.
• Design the Dataverse to serve as the foundational data structure for applications.
• Integrate applications with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server/Azure SQL, CDW, and various external data sources.
• Create accessible user interfaces, forms, views, reusable components, component libraries, and PCF controls.
• Implement Power Platform ALM, governance, environment strategy, deployment pipelines, source control, security measures, and DLP policies.
• Develop and sustain Power Automate cloud flows to facilitate data transfer, approvals, notifications, and process transitions.
• Execute desktop flows/RPA for legacy systems or those lacking API support.
• Create Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, datasets, refresh processes, security measures, and deployment pipelines.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT ingestion and transformation pipelines for Dataverse, Azure SQL, and Power BI.
• Build and maintain Power Platform dataflows, Azure Data Factory, and/or SSIS pipelines.
• Design dimensional and normalized data models while implementing data validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
• Collaborate directly with VA/VHA clinical, operational, financial, and administrative data, as well as the Corporate Data Warehouse.
• Work alongside VA/VHA stakeholders to gather requirements, outline processes, and convert needs into applications, flows, models, and reports.
• Lead working sessions, demonstrations, and reviews with subject matter experts.
• Record solution logic, metadata, data dictionaries, mappings, lineage, governance, ownership, and compliance documentation.
• Provide reusable patterns, templates, best practices, delivery tools, and ongoing enhancements in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, or a relevant field.
• 4–6 years of experience in building production solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in Power Apps with Dataverse modeling, design of screens/forms, Power Fx, and connections to Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL data.
• Familiarity with Power Automate, including cloud flows, connectors, expressions, and error handling techniques.
• Experience with Power BI, focusing on data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), and the delivery of reports/dashboards.
• Practical experience in ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data modeling, and handling structured/semi-structured data.
• Strong grasp of relational databases and SQL proficiency.
• Knowledgeable about Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and regulated data connectivity.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and solution documentation processes.
• Experience in process mapping, current/future state workflows, and requirements gathering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without requiring sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: A Master's degree, advanced expertise in Power Platform, experience with ALM at scale, Azure Data Factory/SSIS/Synapse/Azure SQL, relevant certifications, VA/VHA or federal healthcare experience, CDW experience, knowledge of BPMN or Lean/Six Sigma, data cataloging, and Agile analytics/data modernization experience.
