Power BI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain Power BI reports and dashboards that are precise, efficient, and user-friendly for business users.

• Design and enhance data models, measures, and DAX calculations to facilitate reliable, scalable, and reusable reporting throughout the organization.

• Connect to, transform, and prepare data from various source systems, including the loan origination system, utilizing SQL and Power Query to generate clean and analysis-ready datasets.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, convert business needs into significant metrics, and provide actionable reporting solutions.

• Oversee Power BI workspaces, datasets, scheduled refreshes, and row-level security to guarantee that reports are up-to-date, secure, and accessible to authorized users.

• Examine reporting outcomes to pinpoint trends, anomalies, and business opportunities, delivering insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Confirm data precision against source systems, document report logic and data sources, and comply with established data governance, compliance, and security standards.

• Keep abreast of Power BI advancements, emerging BI technologies, and industry best practices, proactively suggesting enhancements to reporting performance and self-service analytics capabilities.

• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing, building, and analyzing reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI or a similar business intelligence platform.

• Strong practical experience with Power BI, encompassing data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and the development of reports/dashboards.

• Proficient in SQL, with the capability to query, join, transform, and analyze data from diverse sources.

• Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable metrics and user-friendly data visualizations.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple reporting initiatives, balance competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
