Portfolio Manager – Real Estate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Luxembourg.

📋 Description

• Portfolio Monitoring & Fund Oversight: Serve as the main point of accountability for all relationships with third-party managed funds.

• Examine monthly reporting packages and fund information with a keen analytical perspective.

• Proactively question underwriting assumptions put forth by fund managers.

• Oversee financial aspects and monitor liquidity.

• Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actual performance to budgeted figures.

• Execute structured site visits to ongoing development projects to evaluate physical progress against sanctioned business plans.

• Act as the primary day-to-day liaison with fund managers, asset managers, property managers, development firms, hotel operators, and advisors.

• Generate high-quality Investment Committee reports on a monthly, quarterly, and on-demand basis.

• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing concerning refinancing challenges, exit timing, and fluctuations in market value.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in real estate investment management.

• Proven experience managing or overseeing a real estate portfolio of considerable scale — ideally exceeding €500M in total value.

• Solid track record of working with both closed-end and open-end real estate fund structures.

• Experience supervising SPV structures, directly held investments, and third-party operating partners.

• Strong knowledge of governance, reporting, and capital allocation considerations.

• Previous experience in hospitality real estate.

• Experience attending and actively contributing to investment committee meetings.

• Degree-level education in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Expert-level financial modeling skills.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and critically evaluating fund financial statements.
