
Portfolio Manager – Prediction Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +5 more countries.
• Take ownership of the prediction markets P&L by establishing strategy, managing risk limits, overseeing position sizing, and ensuring that the portfolio consistently operates within set drawdown and exposure parameters across all traders.
• Lead the comprehensive investment process, including idea generation, model validation, live execution, post-trade analysis, and systematic improvement cycles.
• Build and oversee a team of traders and analysts, setting research priorities, rigorously reviewing their work, and fostering talent development.
• Define and advance MCP's competitive edge across various strategy types, including market making, cross-platform arbitrage, event-driven momentum, statistical modeling on correlated contracts, and the development of alternative data signals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to specify and prioritize infrastructure projects, such as execution systems, data pipelines, monitoring tools, and low-latency order management.
• Contribute to investor reporting and, where applicable, capital raising efforts by clearly articulating the strategy's edge, risk profile, and performance to institutional audiences.
• Extensive experience in managing a live quantitative or event-driven trading portfolio with actual P&L accountability, rather than solely advisory or model-development roles.
• Proven expertise in prediction markets, binary event trading, options, or closely related event-resolution fields.
• Strong quantitative skills, including probability, Bayesian inference, statistical modeling, and portfolio construction.
• Experience in managing or mentoring junior trading professionals.
• Substantial and clear engagement with the prediction markets ecosystem, including platforms, mechanics, recent resolutions, and structural inefficiencies, which will be assessed in detail.
• An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline.

• Experience working on Polymarket, Kalshi, or similar platforms at a significant scale.
• A background in systematic commodity, macro, or multi-asset trading, which aligns with our core competencies and offers genuine cross-pollination with prediction markets.
• Familiarity with the analytics and data ecosystems related to professional sports and major real-world event categories, such as politics, macroeconomics, and climate.
• Experience with blockchain/DeFi infrastructure pertinent to on-chain prediction market platforms.
• Prior involvement in fund-level processes, including investor relations, risk reporting, or strategy documentation.
