Portfolio Analyst – Asset Valuation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the upkeep and enhancement of the Fair Value (FV) model, guided by senior team members.

• Aid in the monthly accounting process by preparing data inputs, ensuring consistency, and assisting in reconciling variances in asset valuation.

• Contribute to model development initiatives by gathering data, testing assumptions, and supporting analyses to enhance forecasting precision.

• Collaborate with Finance and Risk teams to assess trends in default rates, performance indicators, and capital requirements.

• Engage in the execution and documentation of backtesting and stress testing activities to validate model integrity.

• Create reports and visualizations that summarize model results and key financial insights for a wider audience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Preferred experience (internships or academic projects) in financial modeling, data analysis, or forecasting.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, with knowledge of another statistical programming language being advantageous.

• A fundamental understanding of asset valuation concepts, forecasting methodologies, or accounting principles is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.

• Effective communication skills and a readiness to learn and collaborate across teams.
