This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Reach out to borrowers to gather necessary documents for annual assessments, such as financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, and insurance documentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for borrower inquiries and requests for information.
• Evaluate the documents submitted by borrowers for accuracy, completeness, and any additional requirements.
• Retrieve and assess credit reports to facilitate ongoing risk management.
• Monitor outstanding requirements from borrowers and follow up to guarantee timely completion.
• Oversee insurance coverage, review policies for compliance, and request any missing endorsements.
• Arrange and monitor site inspections; review findings and escalate issues when necessary.
• Keep track of property tax payments and identify any delinquencies.
• Maintain and update the tickler system for reporting obligations, expirations, and renewals.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately indexed and preserved in audit-ready files.
• Thoroughly document communications and task updates with borrowers.
• Prepare loan modification packages, extensions, and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with underwriting, credit administration, and legal departments to ensure modification accuracy.
• Order third-party services and submit invoices for processing.
• Generate reports as required for lending operations.
• Assist with requests for audits and examinations.
• Support special projects and portfolio-related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in commercial loan administration and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of commercial lending requirements, various commercial loan products, loan fulfillment processes, credit union policies, and all relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
• Current understanding of Commercial Real Estate as well as Commercial and Industrial lending.
• Exceptional skills in member service and member relations.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and demands, work independently with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and effectively adapt to shifting priorities.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform calculations accurately.
• Familiarity with automated loan origination systems; proficiency in standard Microsoft programs and other computer operations.
• Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaborative relationships and partnerships across the organization.
• Capability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to staff to assist supervisors and/or managers with training.
• Extensive loan administration experience, including knowledge of letters of credit, borrowing-based lending, multi-phased construction, and multiple collateral properties.
