Pork Technical Services Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support for designated accounts within Zoetis Pork.

• Engage with pork producers, veterinarians, dealers, consultants, and distributor representatives to provide scientific assistance.

• Offer technical training and education to colleagues within the Zoetis pork division.

• Supply reliable technical advice on routine inquiries.

• Develop solutions for a wide range of animal health and production challenges.

• Implement existing veterinary solutions to fulfill the needs of individual clients.

• Establish and nurture relationships with key industry influencers.

• Collaborate and forge strong partnerships with Area Business Manager(s).

• Work alongside field colleagues to devise suitable strategies.

• Partner with field sales team members to create, maintain, and execute customer-centric business development plans.

• Contribute to team selling initiatives by planning call cycles with others.

• Utilize exceptional presentation skills and appropriate tools to conduct educational sessions.

• Advise and support Learning and Development on the technical aspects of training programs.

• Provide specialized support to other areas or businesses as directed by management.

• Participate in special projects and tactical implementations that align with key stakeholders.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of activities and customer interactions.

• Oversee the STOMP diagnostic budget and report diagnostic outcomes to stakeholders promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or its equivalent.

• A minimum of two (2) years of post-doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research, or industry.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Up-to-date knowledge in assigned veterinary medicine areas and pork production management.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Proficient in computer skills (MS Office) and an aptitude for learning Zoetis’s internal systems.

• Two (2) years or more of private practice experience for the Technical Services Veterinarian position.

• Demonstrated record of achievements showcasing successful veterinary practice management, strategy execution, and leadership.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant information.

• Research experience with published scientific papers.

• Capability to think and act strategically.

• Extensive knowledge of Zoetis pork products and the animal health industry, or the ability to learn quickly.

• Competence in interacting with and influencing senior management, peers, and other departments.

• Multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish and English.
