This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the formulation of fusion policy positions, reports, and strategic roadmaps within U.S. federal, state, and European settings.

• Perform research on policy frameworks, pathways for commercialization, and mechanisms for public funding.

• Convert technical and programmatic knowledge into concise, policy-relevant analysis.

• Facilitate engagement with policymakers at the federal, state, and European levels.

• Contribute to advocacy initiatives that promote key priorities such as funding, tax incentives, and regulatory structures for fusion energy.

• Prepare materials for external meetings, briefings, and stakeholder interactions.

• Represent CATF in external meetings or forums when appropriate.

• Assist in coordinating efforts among CATF’s advocacy teams in the U.S. Federal, U.S. State, and European contexts.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams, including legal and program staff.

• Aid in the development and implementation of strategies for fusion policy advocacy.

• Monitor policy developments and identify new opportunities.

• Provide rapid-response analysis for ongoing policy discussions.

• Write policy briefs, reports, blog posts, and additional written materials.

• Offer daily coordination support for fusion policy activities.

• Help with the organization of events, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.

• Support broader Fusion Program objectives related to policy work.

• Assist the Global Director of the Fusion Program with aspects pertaining to policy efforts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• 3+ years of professional experience in areas such as energy, climate, technology, or public policy (an advanced degree may be considered as part of the experience).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to operate across various regions and policy environments (both U.S. and Europe).

• Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

• A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

• Experience in energy or climate policy, with an understanding of regulatory or legislative processes.

• Background in conducting policy research and writing for advocacy purposes.

• Experience in engaging with stakeholders from government, industry, or civil society.

• A self-starter who demonstrates initiative and follows through on tasks.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• A strong interest in promoting CATF’s mission and fostering clean energy innovation.
