Podcast Producer – Audio, YouTube Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the production process. Craft the narrative. Cultivate a remarkable show.

• Create episode outlines, scripts, and timelines.

• Handle guest outreach, booking, and scheduling.

• Manage logistics for both remote and in-studio recordings.

• Supervise recordings to guarantee audio quality.

• Collaborate with engineers to capture and organize raw audio/video.

• Review and edit rough cuts for clarity, pacing, and tone.

• Coordinate the final mix, mastering, and quality assurance.

• Upload refined episodes to hosting platforms such as Libsyn and Anchor.

• Transform audio episodes into formats suitable for video.

• Work together on visuals, metadata, chaptering, and thumbnails.

• Enhance titles and tags for better discoverability and growth.

• Publish content across various platforms: Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Google, etc.

• Conduct quality checks on descriptions, links, and formatting.

• Monitor episode performance and gather audience feedback.

• Maintain production checklists and style guides.

• Suggest tools, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in podcast production (end-to-end).

• Familiarity with podcast hosting tools and YouTube publishing processes.

• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.

• Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.

• Proficient in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).

• Basic skills in video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut).

• Understanding of podcast SEO, RSS feeds, and best practices for metadata.
