Platform Infrastructure Engineer – SRE Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and manage VM and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS across numerous clusters covering development, staging, and production environments in various regions.

• Construct and maintain Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform modules and Spacelift (or similar TACOS), provisioning networking, compute, storage, and security components, while implementing multi-layer configuration management workflows.

• Establish and uphold observability solutions using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus/Mimir, and OTel collectors, creating dashboards and alerting rules for all platform components.

• Oversee certificate lifecycle, automate DNS, manage ingress controllers, and handle service mesh networking with Cilium.

• Collaborate with colleagues across Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams to align on requirements and provide insights on capacity planning, disaster recovery, and architectural strategies.

• Identify and reduce repetitive tasks through automation by writing scripts, constructing CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to enhance speed.

• Engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation as part of a globally distributed team, addressing incidents and conducting post-incident reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Proficiency in popular programming and scripting languages, especially Python, Bash, and Go.

• Familiarity with network topologies, communication protocols (such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, UDP, TLS), and enterprise-level connectivity solutions.

• Expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster administration, RBAC, networking, workload management, and troubleshooting in production settings.

• Demonstrated experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, VPC networking, Cloud DNS, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, IAM, Gemini Code Assist, and Workload Identity.

• Solid understanding of how to effectively utilize LLM-based code-assist tools for building and troubleshooting software.
