This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and manage virtual machine and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS across development, staging, and production environments in various regions.
• Create and uphold Infrastructure as Code using Terraform modules and Spacelift or similar TACOS.
• Provision networking, computing, storage, and security components.
• Execute multi-layer configuration management workflows.
• Develop and maintain observability solutions utilizing Grafana Cloud, Prometheus/Mimir, and OTel collectors.
• Create dashboards and alerting rules for various platform components.
• Oversee certificate lifecycle, DNS automation, ingress controllers, and service mesh networking with Cilium.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams on requirements, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and architectural design.
• Identify and reduce toil through automation, scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Take ownership of reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
• Enhance observability, incident detection and resolution, infrastructure uptime, and provisioning lead times.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go.
• Understanding of network topologies and communication protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, UDP, and TLS.
• Experience with enterprise-grade connectivity solutions.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster administration, RBAC, networking, workload management, and production troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services, including GKE, VPC networking, Cloud DNS, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, IAM, Gemini Code Assist, and Workload Identity.
• Understanding of how to utilize LLM-based code-assist tools for efficient software development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools (preferred).
• Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Ability to work within a globally distributed team.
• Globally distributed remote work arrangement.
• Access to AI-assisted development and code-review tools, including Gemini Code Assist.
