Platform Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, standardize, and continuously enhance core infrastructure platforms that support enterprise applications, operational services, and mission-critical environments.

• Lead the development of automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or similar technologies.

• Establish and uphold standards for Linux and Windows operating systems, including virtual machine templates, baseline configurations, lifecycle management, and patch readiness.

• Create scalable platform architecture patterns for production, disaster recovery, and laboratory environments.

• Provide technical leadership for monitoring and observability platforms such as Zabbix, LogicMonitor, and PagerDuty.

• Enhance monitoring coverage, alert quality, escalation workflows, and operational responses.

• Collaborate with services, security, application, and operations teams to define platform requirements and document reference architectures.

• Guide implementation decisions and assist with change management through risk assessment, communication, testing, and documentation.

• Support SQL Server, Oracle, and other database infrastructures in both production and disaster recovery settings.

• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, build standards, and operational procedures.

• Advocate for security, compliance, resilience, and cost-effective engineering throughout the platform lifecycle.

• Assess new technologies, including approved AI tools, to enhance platform quality and operational decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing, engineering, or supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms within complex production environments.

• Strong practical knowledge of Linux and Windows Server, encompassing build standards, configuration management, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms, particularly Zabbix, LogicMonitor, or PagerDuty.

• Experience in supporting SQL Server, Oracle, or other enterprise database platforms in production and disaster recovery scenarios.

• Capability to create technical documentation, architecture standards, runbooks, implementation guides, and operational procedures.

• Ability to collaborate across teams, influence technical direction, and articulate complex concepts clearly.

• Experience with virtual machine templates and standard server deployment patterns in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

• Background in hybrid infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud-related services, or self-service infrastructure catalogs.

• Understanding of capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and business continuity planning.

• Ability to evaluate and responsibly incorporate new technologies, including approved AI tools.

• Bachelor's degree or at least seven years of equivalent work experience in systems architecture, infrastructure architecture, or senior infrastructure administration.
