Platform Engineer – Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the existing system architecture (Supabase, Elastio, Composio) and spearhead the design of a future-state architecture tailored for secure, distributed workloads.

• Develop and execute a migration strategy from the current technology stack to the new target infrastructure, aiming to minimize risks and downtime during the transition.

• Create a hosting and distribution framework for an artifact-based execution environment (akin to fly.io) that includes live VM/container orchestration to support intermittent, on-demand workloads.

• Implement secure and structured data ingestion from various third-party integrations, ensuring that data is received, stored, and governed with the necessary access controls.

• Drive SOC 2 hardening initiatives across the infrastructure, focusing on audit logging, access control, encryption both at rest and in transit, secrets management, and readiness for compliance.

• Define and enforce strategies for managing loosely-coupled, intermittently-active services, ensuring tracked distribution and lifecycle management.

• Collaborate with engineering leads, CTOs, and stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions align with product objectives and delivery schedules.

• Create comprehensive architectural documentation, diagrams, and decision records (ADRs) to facilitate handoffs and ensure long-term maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect or Platform Engineer, with a proven record in system migrations and re-architecture initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions) and modern cloud-native infrastructure patterns.

• Practical experience with container orchestration and ephemeral compute environments (fly.io, Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar technologies).

• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and data protection tools (Elastio or equivalent).

• Strong understanding of SOC 2 Type II requirements and hands-on experience implementing security controls across the infrastructure.

• Proven experience in designing and securing multi-source data integration pipelines (Composio or similar iPaaS/integration frameworks).

• Solid understanding of networking, secrets management, IAM, and zero-trust security principles.

• Comfortable working across infrastructure, backend, and DevOps layers—this role is focused on implementation rather than solely advisory.
