Platform Engineer – Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Mitigation of security issues, including CVEs and remediation from penetration tests.

• Strengthening the application security, focusing on containers, Kubernetes clusters, and application services.

• Management and rotation of secrets.

• Enhancements to security posture, emphasizing least privilege and zero trust principles.

• Infrastructure monitoring for incidents and ensuring compliance with controls.

• Automation of security updates, utilizing AI for issue mitigation, drift detection, compliance, and hardening of environments.

• Conducting user access reviews and facilitating table-top exercises.

• Maintaining and enhancing system and security documentation, including system diagrams.

• Supporting existing and new security certifications, such as SOC 2, ISO, NIST, etc.

• Collaborating closely with technical and support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Security Engineering.

• Practical experience in securing production cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Proficiency in high-level programming languages, such as C#.

• Familiarity with security policies and practices, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST standards.

• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies.

• Networking knowledge, including TLS, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation.

• Educational background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.

• Experience in the traffic domain is a plus.
