Platform Engineer – PXE, CI, Image Registry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop CI/CD pipelines that create multiple Linux OS images concurrently

• Utilize AWS-based infrastructure for image building compatible with x86 and ARM64 architectures

• Establish PXE boot infrastructure enabling bare-metal servers to self-install

• Configure DHCP and TFTP for server identification during the boot process

• Implement Harbor or OCI registry workflows for the storage, tagging, promotion, and mirroring of images

• Facilitate Cosign signing, SBOM generation, and vulnerability scanning gates

• Create runbooks for the initiation of new data center sites and troubleshooting of unsuccessful boots or image builds

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid background in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, or equivalent

• Expertise in Linux provisioning, particularly with PXE, DHCP, TFTP, Kickstart, cloud-init, MAAS, iPXE, or bare-metal imaging

• Familiarity with OCI registries, container images, artifact promotion, image signing, or SBOM tools

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, shell scripting, and AWS infrastructure

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English

• Preferred: Knowledge of Harbor, Cosign, Syft, Grype, Kairos, Ubuntu Pro, FIPS, bare-metal data center provisioning, or edge-site deployments
