This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Creating a top-tier, Azure-based cloud networking environment that accommodates a swiftly changing, multi-cloud ecosystem.
• Designing, implementing, and overseeing Azure networking elements such as VNets, VNet peering, Private Endpoints, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, NSG, Azure DNS, Azure Firewall, and ExpressRoute.
• Utilizing your expertise in both physical and cloud networking design to connect systems using WAF (e.g., Cloudflare), firewalls, load balancers, and routing protocols (BGP) across a primarily cloud-centric infrastructure.
• Collaborating closely with information security, engineering, and operations teams to develop a forward-thinking network architecture strategy that aligns with the company’s expansion.
• Acting as the network Subject Matter Expert (SME), enhancing team knowledge and fostering strong relationships with key leaders and architects.
• Reporting directly to the Director of Site Reliability Engineering, while maintaining a strong dotted-line relationship with the Platform Engineering Network Manager.
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for networking, including automated provisioning of VNets, BGP routing, firewall rules, load balancers, and F5 policies via Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps workflows.
• Engaging in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and driving effective remediation to avoid future occurrences.
• Over 5 years of advanced network security experience, including hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and Azure Network Security Groups (NSG).
• More than 5 years of experience in network load-balancing technologies such as F5 BIG-IP, HAProxy, and Azure Load Balancer.
• Demonstrated proficiency in designing and engineering large-scale, intricate network environments.
• At least 5 years of extensive technical experience in public cloud network design.
• Over 5 years of advanced knowledge in core and edge switching, routing, and VLANs.
• Experience in building and deploying Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Outstanding communication abilities and comfort working with a high degree of transparency.
• Capability to create and maintain high-quality network topology and architecture documentation.
• Bonus: Practical experience with AWS or GCP networking, Zscaler secure access solutions, and micro-segmentation implementations using Illumio.
