Platform Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of platform services by writing code, reviewing modifications, and assisting with deployments.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement solutions that enhance scalability, reliability, and the developer experience.

• Aid in maintaining and operating essential systems such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring tools.

• Engage in incident response and retrospectives, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

• Work together with other engineers to comprehend requirements and translate them into effective platform solutions.

• Assume responsibility for tasks and smaller projects while progressing towards managing larger segments of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Practical experience with AWS or another leading cloud service provider.

• Knowledge of security best practices and automation tools.

• Experience in managing production systems, preferably in a distributed or cloud-based environment.

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (we utilize Amazon EKS in production).

• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Datadog or similar.

• Knowledge of messaging queues or event-driven systems (we utilize RabbitMQ).

• Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Fundamental knowledge of Linux system administration.
