Platform Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Automate cloud resources and manage infrastructure as code.

• Develop and enhance developer tools to boost product manageability.

• Create technical designs and execute tasks independently.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineers on foundational cloud projects.

• Partner with Product Engineering teams to address specific tooling and automation requirements.

• Direct infrastructure changes through code reviews and implement them using CI tools.

• Automate cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Manage Kubernetes, Pulumi Cloud, ArgoCD, CircleCI, and PostgreSQL.

• Contribute to projects using TypeScript, Python, Go, or Bash.

• Design and deploy continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps productivity enhancements.

• Identify gaps in observability and configurability alongside product engineers and enhance code quality.

• Develop tools to elevate the developer experience.

• Oversee incident-response runbooks and assess operational performance.

• Engage in a primary weekly on-call rotation.

• Address platform incidents and conduct blameless root-cause analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in GCP or other cloud platforms.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Familiarity with AI-driven coding assistants or agents, like Claude Code.

• Knowledge of TypeScript, Go, or comparable languages.

• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience using Git and GitHub.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Must have eligibility to work in the United States; Bestow employs E-Verify.
