Platform Engineer – Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain shared libraries, tools, and streamlined processes for teams working with .NET and Go applications.

• Design, implement, and enhance Terraform modules and infrastructure as code across both Azure commercial and Azure Government environments.

• Configure and optimize GitOps-based delivery using Argo CD, incorporating canary and progressive rollout strategies.

• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to the FedRAMP/Azure Government initiatives, including deployment pipelines, PR-based approval processes, and packaging strategies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify needs, propose technical solutions, and influence architectural decisions.

• Develop reference implementations and create comprehensive documentation.

• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to engineers.

• Create reusable AI-driven workflows, skills, and automations tailored for developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive production experience as a platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineer.

• Practical experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code at scale.

• Familiarity with GitOps delivery utilizing Argo CD.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.

• Strong working knowledge of Azure and Azure Resource Manager.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Fluency in at least one scripting language: Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in building shared libraries or SDKs in .NET or Go is a plus.

• Understanding of progressive delivery and canary deployments (Argo Rollouts) is a plus.

• Experience with Azure Government or other government cloud environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with LLM-powered coding tools and AI development lifecycle automations is a plus.

• Experience in compliance-regulated environments like FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC 2, or NIST 800-53 is a plus.
