Platform Engineer, Cloud & Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design, automate, and enhance cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code.

• Enhance platform reliability, resilience, and observability.

• Minimize technical debt and eliminate manual operational tasks.

• Monitor platform health and manage infrastructure incidents effectively.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to advance secure cloud architecture.

• Investigate and assess security alerts.

• Improve detection accuracy and decrease false positives.

• Support ISO 27001 controls, ensuring audit readiness and security operations.

• Work alongside engineering teams to address security vulnerabilities.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment reliability.

• Boost automation and confidence in deployment processes.

• Fortify pipeline security and release procedures.

• Assist engineering teams in delivering software safely and consistently.

• Manage cloud identity and access controls effectively.

• Optimize provisioning and access management processes.

• Maintain secure and repeatable access governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possesses experience in building and supporting cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

• Has worked with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.

• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Understands cloud security principles and has some exposure to security operations.

• Familiar with monitoring and observability tools.

• Enjoys automation, continuous improvement, and addressing operational challenges.

• Aspires to continue developing skills in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.
