Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – AI Environments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Design realistic cloud and backend environments to assess complex AI-driven technical tasks.

• Construct reproducible scenarios that encompass distributed systems, networking, IAM, queues, persistent storage, and observability.

• Develop environments that evaluate deployment, troubleshooting, scaling, security, and disaster-recovery workflows.

• Create deterministic validation tests along with clear acceptance criteria.

• Generate golden reference implementations and accurate solution paths.

• Develop intentionally flawed configurations and realistic failure scenarios.

• Design scenarios that include rolling deployments, service failures, access-control challenges, and recovery processes.

• Implement DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation practices in environment development.

• Document system architecture, operational workflows, edge cases, and validation logic.

• Collaborate with technical leads to enhance technical specifications and evaluation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in backend software engineering utilizing Python, Go, Java, C++, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar language.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation of infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, operating, or troubleshooting distributed systems in a production environment.

• Solid understanding of networking, service communication, and production system architecture.

• Hands-on knowledge of IAM, authentication, authorization, and infrastructure security.

• Experience with queues, asynchronous systems, databases, and durable storage solutions.

• Strong grasp of observability, deployment strategies, scalability, and disaster recovery principles.

• Capability to design reproducible technical environments and validate anticipated system behavior.

• No previous AI experience is necessary.

• Commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, with a requirement for minimum weekly task submissions.
