Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gibraltar.

📋 Description

• As a Platform Engineer at Xapo, you will be part of a team dedicated to enhancing and maintaining Xapo's cloud-native platform.

• The primary goal is to improve self-service capabilities and promote automation wherever feasible.

• Your responsibilities will include empowering Xapo's developers by optimizing the platform to be more efficient, reliable, and user-friendly, enabling them to launch products more swiftly and confidently.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in platform engineering with applicable skills for the position.

• A solid understanding of the technologies that support an automated, self-service platform is crucial. This encompasses:

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Cloud Providers: Mainly AWS (ECS, RDS, SQS, etc.) and some GCP (Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)

• Containerization: Docker

• CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with pipelines such as GitHub Actions is a plus.

• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools like Coralogix or similar.

• Scripting: Proficiency in Python and Bash for integrating scripts into our infrastructure or developing them to facilitate our automated tasks.

• We seek an individual who is capable and enthusiastic about addressing common platform challenges using established methodologies, and more importantly, identifying automation opportunities within these solutions. This includes anticipating future needs to minimize repetitive manual work.
