Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self-hosted) on AWS, ensuring optimal availability and security.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tools to enhance engineering efficiency.

• Automate infrastructure setup and operational tasks utilizing Python and tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible.

• Establish and uphold platform standards related to observability, cost management, and incident response.

• Collaborate with application teams to support containerized workloads and address infrastructure challenges.

• Work alongside Customer Success teams by providing dependable and scalable tools that facilitate seamless customer onboarding, integrations, and service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes (cluster management, Helm, RBAC, networking, etc.).

• In-depth AWS knowledge across essential services — EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, and associated tools.

• Expertise in Python for scripting, automation, and creating internal tools.

• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code methodologies (Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible).

• A collaborative attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with multi-account AWS strategies, AWS Organizations, and landing zone patterns suitable for enterprise-level environments.
