This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules to ensure reliable provisioning and configuration of customer environments.
• Assist in the deployment and management of UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises for government-supported commercial vendors.
• Create and sustain custom UDS packages and application-specific modules to facilitate the seamless deployment of customer environments.
• Comply with SLA commitments, which includes providing on-call support for critical UDS issues within customer environments.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for System Integrators and mission heroes, offering guidance, troubleshooting, and solutions for complex UDS challenges.
• Design and present technical training materials tailored to the needs of mission heroes, with both remote and on-site sessions highlighting platform features and best practices.
• Manage customer onboarding processes to ensure a successful adoption of UDS deployments.
• Collect feedback from mission heroes and the community to generate actionable insights for internal teams, enhancing products, services, and deployment methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance capabilities and strategies aimed at improving deployment efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate operational and usage data to uncover trends, optimize delivery methods, and promote process enhancements.
• Explore new tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance mission results.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, Terraform Automation and Collaboration Software (TACOS), Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized applications.
• Demonstrated experience as a Platform Engineer or in a comparable role, focusing on system architecture and development.
• In-depth knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, covering networking, RBAC, and storage for both cloud and on-premises clusters.
• Practical experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-premises Kubernetes (e.g., RKE2, K3s, k0s, etc.).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, OpenTofu), Helm, GitOps, and cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines operating on GitLab or GitHub.
• Comfortable acting as the primary technical interface for mission heroes, offering architectural guidance, production support, and platform expertise.
• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for interpreting complex data to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills and effectiveness in a remote team setting.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Openness to travel as required for on-site training and support.
• DoD IAT Level II certification (such as Security+) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A DoD Secret or higher clearance is preferred but not necessary.
