Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold CI/CD pipelines along with deployment automation to facilitate continuous and high-quality software delivery.

• Set up and oversee cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, ensuring scalability, security, and thorough documentation.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to devise resilient, cloud-native solutions and evaluate code for quality and compliance with standards.

• Oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance platform performance and availability, including on-call support when necessary.

• Integrate security best practices into platform design, covering aspects from access controls and encryption to deployment pipelines.

• Participate in platform architecture decisions and assist in evolving our infrastructure as the product and team grow.

• Develop and sustain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and infrastructure standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.

• Proficient in Go (GoLang) programming — you will be writing and reviewing production-level Go code, not just reading it.

• Practical experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Background in constructing and managing CI/CD pipelines within a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Excellent asynchronous communication skills — comfortable working across different time zones and articulating infrastructure decisions to those outside the infrastructure domain.

• Residing in the Sydney, Australia area with the capability to meet the local team in person regularly.
