This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, maintain, and enhance intricate automation scripts primarily developed in Python to facilitate platform deployment and management.
• Develop and uphold custom Docker files for the creation of efficient and secure container images.
• Conceptualize, develop, and maintain Helm charts for deploying applications and infrastructure components.
• Write and thoroughly test Helm charts for each release cycle.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Helm charts across numerous Kubernetes instances/environments, ensuring high availability and consistency.
• Implement and oversee configuration-as-code frameworks to guarantee that system configurations are reproducible and under version control.
• Create, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, integrating with other tools and services as required.
• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into the platform lifecycle.
• Clearly and comprehensively document automation processes, deployment procedures, configurations, and standards.
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance platform performance and automation workflows; proactively troubleshoot issues.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies related to automation, container orchestration, and CI/CD.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting with a background in writing complex automation scripts.
• Practical experience in writing and maintaining custom Dockerfiles and managing containerized applications.
• Proven expertise in Helm chart development, templating, and management.
• Experience in deploying, upgrading, and managing Helm charts across various Kubernetes clusters or environments.
• Solid comprehension of Kubernetes concepts and the surrounding ecosystem.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with configuration-as-code tools (such as GitOps practices, Helm values management, Kustomize, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of Git/version control systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
