This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review the work schedule and its associated timeline.
• Analyze specifications, plans, and details to identify potential issues.
• Arrange meetings with Project Managers and Plant Sales Associates to discuss the overall project before commencing the takeoff process.
• Issue Requests for Information (RFI) to engineers as necessary to address any concerns.
• Conduct thorough material takeoffs.
• Annotate plans accordingly, checking and highlighting items that have been taken off.
• Document specifications, phases, systems, locations, and notes for each item as required.
• Note any specific qualifications or alternatives to the plans or specifications.
• Finalize the takeoff and review project data for accuracy before submitting it to the Project Manager.
• Review project addenda on a daily basis and update the scope of materials as needed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing material takeoffs for Waterworks materials.
• Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of pipes, valves, fittings, and miscellaneous materials related to the waterworks industry.
• Proven knowledge of construction documents, including Plans, Detail Drawings, P&ID Drawings, Specifications, Bid Forms, and front-end documents, as well as project management and construction administration.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in electronic file management on data servers.
• Willingness to learn new technological advancements within the industry and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Sage Estimating software is an advantage.
• Experience with Planswift Estimating software is an advantage.
• Design-Build experience is a plus.
