This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate candidate research inquiries generated by the AI Physicist’s Question Formulator (QF).
• Assist in determining which questions are scientifically relevant, feasible, established in existing literature, or poorly framed.
• Offer insights on assumptions, scope, and framing, and contribute to enhancing the Question Formulator module.
• Aid in refining the criteria for how questions are assessed based on novelty, complexity, originality, tractability, and scientific significance.
• Review AI-generated research outputs (Dynamic Research Objects, or DROs) and evaluate their internal consistency, mathematical validity, and grounding in the pertinent literature.
• Experience in quantum information theory, quantum error correction (QEC), or closely related fields.
• Strong theoretical and mathematical foundation.
• A curious yet appropriately critical perspective on AI-assisted research.
• A commitment to rigor, clarity, and intellectual integrity.
• Comfort in dealing with exploratory and incomplete findings.
• Collaborators are compensated with a modest honorarium, acknowledging the value of their time and expertise.
