Physician, Virtual Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional virtual primary care via video consultations, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

• Oversee a patient panel addressing acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare needs.

• Partner with the Care and Case Management team to create care plans and ensure successful patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with the Credentialing Team to secure additional state licenses as required.

• Ensure patient satisfaction and maintain quality metrics through evidence-based practices and excellent bedside manner.

• Leverage telehealth technology to provide patient care while juggling multiple responsibilities.

• Keep abreast of the latest medical knowledge, treatments, and medications.

• Comply with assigned schedules, which may include some evenings and weekends.

• Rigorously follow HIPAA and security regulations.

• Foster a culture of humility, curiosity, and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a 3–4-year residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds, or an equivalent qualification.

• Possession of an active medical license and board certification in Family Medicine through ABMS or AOA.

• A minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience in primary care, managing an independent patient panel.

• Willingness to oversee Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and/or PAs).

• Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid participation without any sanctions or exclusions.

• Active status with Medicare.

• Required to hold multiple state licenses.

• Currently fulfill all necessary qualifications for participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to safeguarding patient information.

• Capability and readiness to treat patients of all ages throughout their lifespan.

• A professional, private, and secure home office setup for virtual consultations.

• Proven ability to provide empathetic and compassionate care to patients and families during difficult times.

• Proficient in managing high patient volumes and competing priorities while ensuring quality care.

• Strong technological skills and proficiency with electronic health platforms.

• Experience in telehealth is preferred.

• Commitment to a 40-hour work week, consisting of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

• Availability to work 8 hours over a weekend at least once every eighth weekend.

• Required to work one evening until 7:00 p.m. in the clinician’s time zone at least once every 4 weeks.
