This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver outstanding, AI-enhanced medical care.
• Provide patient care across acute, primary, and longevity services through messages: diagnose, treat, triage, and follow up.
• Collaborate with Counsel's AI as a valuable partner who has already reviewed the patient's history: it prepares the background, refines the differential diagnosis, and drafts messages. Focus on the unique human aspect of care that requires your judgment and attention.
• Maintain a high standard in every interaction: prioritize clinical reasoning, ensure safety, and consider the patient's experience.
• Remain a generalist, addressing relevant clinical issues yourself while guiding patients to appropriate resources within the healthcare system when necessary.
• Elevate the performance of the clinical team.
• Collaborate with the CMO and VP of Care Delivery on protocols, peer reviews, and clinical systems that ensure safe care as the team expands.
• Mentor less experienced clinicians; share successful strategies; enhance standards without drawing attention to yourself.
• Influence the tools and systems you use in practice.
• Counsel operates on a fundamental principle: clinicians come first, followed by technologists. Those developing your practice tools welcome your feedback, insights, and preferences.
• A workflow that proves challenging this week can be improved within the next few weeks. A long-awaited tool can be made available to you within months.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, and membership in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with an IMLC Letter of Qualification.
• At least 3 years of post-residency clinical experience (urgent care, ER, primary care, or a robust generalist background).
• A sincere interest in acute, primary, and longevity care.
• Comfort with a fully virtual, asynchronous, messaging-based work environment.
• Availability for 32+ hours per week with flexible scheduling options. Shift blocks (EST): 7:30 AM–1 PM, 1 PM–6 PM, 6 PM–9 PM. Limited evening and weekend coverage required (2 evenings + 2 weekend days per month). Options for 0.8, 0.9, and 1.0 FTE; W2 status.
• Strong written communication skills, as most patient interactions occur in writing.
• Competitive salary.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• 401(k) retirement plan.
• Paid time off.
