Physician Coding Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate communication between physicians and the PRC Coding team, ensuring effective and clear information flow.

• Respond to telephone and email inquiries related to their specialty, including coding escalations.

• Deliver education and training sessions for physicians and coders on specialty-specific coding guidelines and best practices.

• Act as the primary liaison for the specialty, addressing questions and offering expert advice on coding issues.

• Conduct reviews of coder communications to guarantee accuracy and adherence to coding standards and workflows in line with our standard operating procedures.

• Execute root cause analysis to pinpoint coding trends and identify opportunities for enhancements within the specialty.

• Support and lead initiatives aimed at improving coding opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy effective solutions.

• Carry out special coding projects as directed by leadership, ensuring their timely and accurate completion.

• Perform production coding as necessary to uphold key performance indicators (KPIs).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in medical coding, with a particular emphasis on physician coding.

• In-depth understanding of specialty-specific coding guidelines and regulations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to analyze coding trends and initiate improvement projects.

• Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management skills.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.

• Flexibility in working hours to meet project timelines and physician availability.

• This position may involve 20-40% travel to client locations.

• Must possess an inquisitive nature and a willingness to embrace innovation, including AI technologies.
